HOUSE MOVING GUIDE - 1 Week Before Moving

• Transfer bank and savings accounts, if you have to change branches.
• Have rugs and curtains cleaned. (Keep in protective bags.)
• Use up your frozen food supply or give it away.
• Arrange for any satellite dishes etc. to be taken down and reinstalled at your new home.
• Make sure you check that outbuildings and any attic space is cleared (ensuring that fuel is drained from any power equipment and that the fuel is disposed of).
• Check with your removal agent that all arrangements for the move are in-hand
• Check where the nearest disposal/recycling area is to your new home (you may find that after completing your unpacking that you have too much refuse for normal weekly collections)
